Who we serve · Multi-location

Every location, its own answer.

A ranking checked downtown is not an answer about the suburbs. Speak Local tracks each location in its own market, with its own listing, reviews, rankings and map grid, and keeps the whole brand in one project.

Free. Up to 25 pages graded across Local, SEO, AEO and GEO, usually in under a minute. No email, no card.

The short answer

How should a multi-location business manage local SEO and AI visibility?

Give every location its own Google Business Profile and its own page on your site, with its own address, phone, hours and something genuinely local to say. Tie each page to the brand with schema, keep every detail flowing from one source of truth, and measure each location in its own market instead of averaging them together.

Questions worth tracking

What do customers ask about a brand with many locations?

Which one, when it’s open, and whether the local one is any good. Six worth tracking for each location:

  • Your brand near me
  • Your brand suburb hours
  • Best your service in your second city
  • Which your brand location has Saturday appointments?
  • Your brand or a local independent?
  • Is the your brand in a new town any good?

Examples to adapt, not data. Put the ones that bring you business to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini on a weekly or monthly round, and each answer is recorded: named, cited or absent, with whoever was named in your place. How AI answers are tracked

What engines weigh

What do Google and AI assistants weigh for a multi-location brand?

Each location on its own merits. The brand helps, but it doesn’t rank a location that can’t be verified.

A page per location, not one locations page

A store locator listing twenty addresses gives each location nothing to rank with. Each needs its own page: address, phone, hours, the people there, the services offered there, directions and reviews.

The average hides the worst location

A brand-wide number can look fine while one location sits outside the top twenty in its own town. Measure each in its own market and the problem has a name and an address.

Consistency at scale

Twenty locations means twenty sets of hours to keep right. A change made in one place and not the others is the kind of drift engines notice.

Unique pages, not doorway pages

Location pages earn their place when each one is truly different. Near-identical pages with the town name swapped are what Google’s spam policies call doorway pages.

Schema

Which schema should a multi-location business use?

One Organization for the brand, defined once with its own @id, and one LocalBusiness node on each location page, using the most specific type that fits, with parentOrganization pointing back at the brand.

Each location node carries its own address, phone, hours and @id, matching its Google Business Profile. Speak Local’s scanner reads every LocalBusiness type as entity schema.

Worth adding
  • A stable @id for the brand and for each location
  • parentOrganization from every location to the brand
  • The location’s own telephone, not a central call center
  • url pointing at the location’s own page

Check it with Google’s Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator before it goes live.

Where to start

Where should a multi-location business start?

In this order. The first step makes every later one cheaper.

  1. One source of truth for location data

Hours, phones, addresses and services kept in one place and pushed to the site and the profiles, so a change is made once.

  2. A real page for each location

With something local on it: the team, the services offered there, parking, the neighborhoods it serves.

  3. Link each profile to its own page

Each location’s Google Business Profile should point at that location’s page, not the homepage.

  4. Tie them together with schema

The brand once, and each location with parentOrganization pointing back at it.

  5. Measure each location separately

Its own rankings, map grid, reviews and AI questions, so the weakest location shows up by name.

How we help

How does Speak Local help a multi-location business?

Every plan includes all of it. See the full platform for how the pillars combine into one score.

Locations in one project — up to 25, each with its own market, Google listing and reviews, so a ranking checked in one city is never reported as another
One phrase, every location — the same search tracked at each location, in that location’s own market
A map grid per location — up to 49 points around each one, reading twenty deep
Reviews across locations — every Google review in one inbox, refreshed every six hours, filtered by location, with a combined rating that still means the whole business
AI answers — your customers’ questions, including ones that name each town, put to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini
A standing against rivals — your site and five named competitors scored the same way across link authority, organic reach, search visibility, AI answers and site health
Questions

Asked and answered.

Should each location’s Business Profile link to the homepage or its own page?
Its own page. That’s where the location’s details live, it’s the page that can rank for that town, and it saves a visitor from hunting for the right address.
How many locations can Speak Local track?
Up to 25 in one project. What grows with them is the work you run for each one, such as daily keyword checks and weekly AI questions, which comes out of your plan’s monthly credits. If you have more than 25, email [email protected] and we’ll work out the setup with you.
Do franchise location pages need unique content?
Yes. Pages that differ only by town name are what Google’s spam policies call doorway pages. Give each location something true and local: the team, services offered there, opening hours, directions, reviews from that location.
What about locations that share a call-center number?
Google’s guidelines prefer a local number for each location over a central call center wherever possible. Use the location’s own number on its profile, its page and its schema, so all three agree.
Can an agency manage multi-location clients?
Yes. The Agency plan is $249 a month for unlimited client projects under your own brand, and each client project can carry up to 25 locations.
