Speak Local (“we,” “us”) operates speaklocal.com. This policy describes what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account information you give us: your name, email address, organization name, and the websites you ask us to audit.
• Free scan reports you email to yourself: the address you give, with the scanned site and its score. We keep it for 90 days, or, if you tick “keep me posted”, until you unsubscribe.
• Technical information: standard server logs, including IP address and browser user agent, used for security and to keep the site running.
• Analytics: if you accept optional cookies, Google Analytics 4 records which pages you visit and how you arrived, through Google Tag Manager. It is loaded only after you accept — see the cookie policy for the exact cookies and how long they last.

How we use it

• To contact you about your account, billing, and product updates.
• To send you a free scan report you asked for and, only if you ticked the box, occasional emails about Speak Local.
• If you create an account and don’t finish setting it up, to send you a reminder. You can say no on the sign-up form, and every reminder has an unsubscribe link that works without signing in.
• To understand interest in the product (for example, how many agencies sign up).
• To see which pages people find useful, in aggregate, so we can improve them.
• To protect the site from abuse.

What we don’t do

• We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• We do not use third-party advertising or social media trackers on this site. Analytics is the only optional category we set, and it is off until you say otherwise.

Retention

We keep account information for as long as you have an account with us, and afterwards only for as long as the law requires or until you ask us to remove it.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete your information or unsubscribe at any time by emailing [email protected]. We honor deletion requests regardless of where you live.

To stop reminder emails yourself, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of them. It takes effect at once. Email about running your account — sign-in links, invitations, password resets and billing notices — still comes while you have one.

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above.
